Bianca Walkden is one of Britain’s most successful sports stars. The 29-year-old is a triple world champion in Taekwondo and has an Olympic bronze medal from Rio 2016.

All of her major successes have come after not one, but two ACL ruptures. Bianca discusses how those injuries have made her stronger and how she hopes to win gold at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Episode 6: Chris Mears MBE, Diving

At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Chris Mears shared the honour of becoming Great Britain’s first Olympic Diving champion. Along with Jack Laugher, the pair won the gold medal in the synchronised 3m springboard event.

For the first My Defining Moments episode of 2021, Chris speaks openly about the mental health struggles he’s had since winning Olympic gold and how the recent lockdown has helped him.

5 Paralympic gold medals, 12 World titles and 5 Defining Moments for Hannah Cockroft! ‘Hurricane’ Hannah is the latest guest to join me on My Defining Moments, as the T34 Wheelchair racer discusses the highs and lows of her career so far.

Since winning 2 Paralympic titles at a home Games aged just 20, Hannah has gone on to dominate her event. A seven year undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of her younger compatriot. But, as Hannah explains, that only fueled the fire for greater success.
